A couple of beautyshots of my new paint job. 5 cans of yellow, 2 cans of black...and some poorly done pinstriping..by me. but hey. I used a sable and oneshot atleast. Took me 10 minutes too. Damn. Inspired by the GeeBeeZ racer of the 30s.
I like it,nice job all around. Plus that's my fav. number.* My real race car was Fireball #4, I drove for over 40 years.
El Cheapo Paint. No. I really dont know who made it. It sells here in Scandinavia trough Biltema, a low priced chain of shops with everything you need..and dont need for your car and household.
A cheap brand from a chainstore here in Scandinavia. Standard nozzle. Here`s a before pic.. also painted with the same brand:
The nozzle on the fizz can has a lot to do with it. I've found that spray cans of tractor paint from the tractor dealers sprays pretty well and holds up pretty well. That is what my boat tail roadster will get painted with.
For what you have into your paint job, one couldn't buy a gallon of primer here in the States . . . so good by you! Nice job and a solid hot-rod in my book!
Started using this on bigger panels, less "zebra" effect, big fan pattern. Not many color choices yet. Reg. size rattler for comparison.
My late best friend and I painted my 32 5 w. We used 5 1/2 cans of the old formula Krylon. Still looks good. Has had a couple of bruises fixed with SEM .
Your car looks great!!!!!!!!!!! Theres different size fan nozzles you can buy for spray bombs. Pinpoint to wide fan. Graffiti paint stores have them. I liked the Turbo wide fan but its only available in white and black.
I Have a friend who is building a 29 panel delivery. He painted the body Green and the fenders black with the latest Rustoleum. He did good prep with primer, blocking etc. When he went to 2 local shops he was quoted either side of 15K to finish the job. He did his research shot the sheet metal with the Rustoleum, waited a month then proceeded to sand and buff everything. Turned out excellent.
