I was fortunate to get my hands on a really cool panel a while back, so I thought I would share it with everyone. I think its a marine panel. Planning on removing the cig. lighter and restoring it all

Thats a cool piece, is the 20 amp gauges usable? Williamson gauges might be able to convert it to 30 or 60 amp. They have alot of screen printing fonts for those gauges.
BD, i have had several gauges done by them. I sent Ron a pic of it a while back and he called me back about it. Im about to send it to him this week in fact. I just got back this Merc speedo from them.
Kracker: Are you the Hamber that found the '32 5 window out in the woods? What ever happened with it? I've lost track. Tim
Tim, i did find the 32 - 5 window. Tough call, but I sold the body and bought 4 model A bodies instead.
Leave the sig lighter, its a power port for your cell phone and other stuff we have but don't talk about.....
Nice score. It's funny, it seems that whenever you're NOT looking for something, ya find it. That panel is a Stewart-Warner "Bos'n" panel. I think they were mainly for the boat crowd, but many have been used in old hot rods. I believe they've actually been around from the '30's through the '60's. From what I can gather, the "Bos'n" tag came along in the '50's for a panel that was around (with no name) years prior to that. I have some of them with the original rear mount 2-3/8" holes (like yours) & some with the "modern" front mount 2-1/6" holes. The latter ones were often chromed. Here's a pic of the one like yours with that same little knob on the lower left. Also, a shot of the old S/W catalog describing the panel. If anyone reading this is dying for a panel like that or would like to know more about them, shoot me a P.M. Enjoy.
I've got a few Bos'n panels. My current project will get one of them. It's got a chrome pinstriped insert, with rear-mount S-W's. I've got another that looks like its nickel plated like the OP's, and another that is just chrome. That last one has smaller holes, probably for SW standard size front mount gauges.
