Bought this '59 Ranchero for my 12 year old son this weekend as he fell in love with it. I know the production number of Rancheros for '59 was 14,159 (I think) but the guy who was selling it to me said it was one of like 1134 in this particular trim or something to that effect. I'm just wondering if there is any validity to the idea.

Here is the breakdown of the info on the VIN Plate.

    The VIN# is C9KF113###
    BODY: 66C
    COLOR: YE2
    TRIM: 47
    DATE: 15L
    TRANS: 1
    AXLE 4

Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any info on your particular car, but, a friend of mine rodded a '34 sedan delivery years back and they used more than one model # in that and probably other years. He later found out that his model was one of twelve sedan deliveries built with that model #. Go online and see if you can find any listing for production figures.
