  3. Our twins grew up in the back seat of a 40 Ford sedan and a rumble seat in a 39 Ford convertible, not to mention a few rides in the bed of a Model A pickup.

They spent the first 16 years of their lives hitting shows near and far during the summer months, today they could care less.HRP

    I love this picture!
The bandages on the little guy in the back's arm, indicates he actually gets outside and 'plays'.
A rare thing these days, I'm afraid...

He's 13 now and still "plays" hard. And if he gets a cut he's likely to grab a chunk of paper towel and some duct tape because he's too busy in the shop to go into the house for a real bandage.

I love these pics! It really warms the heart. My kids love riding in the hot rods but neither are really interested in working on them. All they've ever known is my passion lies in the garage, yet they are both musical theater majors at the local high school for the arts. Lol!

my boy loves "puzzles" he just took to them at a young age... take something apart and figure out how to put it together.. I started giving him engines to play with at 3 or 4... little one cylinder honda 50's. he could tear down a sohc motor and put it back together on his own... this pic was last month... I dragged home a cracked 59a so we had some fun getting dirty. He's 7 now. 20170116_153000.jpg

  20. Here's my middle daughter (age 6 then, 8 now) really, properly, helping to fit the floors on the Modified. Today she was asking if I had a spare 2CV engine she could strip down and rebuild.

Our kids (now in their late 30's and 40's) were all about anything with wheels when they were growing up. Our streetrod builds always involved the entire Family in the design. Our Son now a GM Engineer started at a young age helping take apart donor vehicles for our projects and learned the art of selling leftover parts at the auto flea markets we attended together. Our Daughter was just as involved and a great help when I needed that extra pair of hands and the one I trusted most driving our cars. She and her Husband gave us 3 awesome Grandsons who are equally enthusiastic with anything on wheels.

My son used to help when he was younger. At that time he loved helping tear every thing out and apart. When he started playing music and hockey, his passion went there. In hockey he finished out playing at the Junior A tier 2 level, and getting an AS at age 21. He is currently enrolled at chiropractic school, finishing the last of the pre req's and owning it, at age 22. He just never dug the noise and sparks or fumes in the garage. All the things that I loved.
