    I just picked up this tach and wanted to know if someone could tell me about what year and what model it is? Thanks, later shawn

    I had it's twin on my 69 Cutlass in 69. They sold for about 25 bucks new and can be adjusted to work with 4,6 or 8 cylinders I think.
    I'm pretty sure I still have my old one stashed in the file cabinet in the shed.

    Yeah, if you take off the back there is a switch to change between 4,6,8 cylinders. Did yours have only 3 wires coming out the back? Thanks, later shawn

    Rite Autotronics Corp. circa 1968,el cheapo.I bought one at Gross Discount in Coshocton Oh. for less then 20 bucks and used it in my 409 until I could afford a good Sun

    I put one in my `40 ford coupe back in 1965 or 66...Yes they were cheap... but it was all I could afford.

    they are great tachs! I have the same tach on my 64 Biscayne. Works great! Take it all apart and polish the lens and the face and you'll be shocked how nice it looks. Enjoy!

  11. I just acquired one of these too. Question on the adjustment screw beneath the dial knob for the manual pointer. I can see it actuates a lever ind what looks like a needle stop. Is it something for keeping the needle locked for shipping or something? Set full counter clockwise it looks to keep the needle at zero.
