I just installed a Speedway Motors straight front axle kit in Robert's 55, he picked it up yesterday and took it back to the paint shop to get the dash and roll bar painted. Before.... After.... Here are some pic's I took during the installation..... Before the front end was cut off the spindle centerline was measured and the car was leveled..... Crossmember for the radiator core support....
Cool, my first race car was a 55 back in 1964. I still love em! p.s. somebody knows how to lay down a bead too.
Looks great and beautiful welding work. Are those painted panel portions only on the roof or are they on other parts of the car, they are understated but gorgeous.
Very nice work as usual. Im just starting to learn to weld, and hope to be as good one day. The paints bitchin too. Nice car.
Holy shit Robert!!!!!!, just when I thought your car was never going anywhere. Looking good. Hey Groucho, do like this pic with Robert and his long beautiful hair ?
Nice work on Robs car Kevin. Question on the Rollbar. Did you just plate and weld it to the floor or is there also stubs on the underside to mount it to the frame.
Kev, Nice work as usual. I never get sick of seeing your garage/workshop! Oh yeah, neat car as well... Aaron
Thank's guys. The rollbar is just plated to the floor. We weren't worried about it being NHRA legal. It will work fine if needed. The interior will be buckets with black pleated seats and side panels. There will be a carpeted panel where the back seat used to be.
BITCHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to see it comin along,Maybe someday we can all meet at the broiler, you,me,Johnny gee......etc.............come to think about it,how cool would Johnny's car look with a axle.Kev whata great job
