Tom Medley Passes Away I just learned that Tom passed away today at 93. RIP, old friend...
Another "Car Guy" great will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Tom....
Godspeed Mr. Medley.
God Speed Tom- what a great journey!
Very sad for all of us but especially his family and friends - my condolences to all whose lives he touched.
Met Tom many years ago through mutual friend Stan Betz. I mentioned Medley and Betz said "oh he's a swell guy let's go see what he's up to". We hung out at his house, checked out all the original drawings, his go karts, his Doberman, his beloved '40. We went down the road to his favorite diner where his favorite waitress waited on us and he had everybody in the place in stitches. He would come out with these really witty comments..pulling away from the curb he would shout " Follow that car and step on it !"...he was like a little kid.
It's an honor to have known him...RIP Tom..and Stroker too.
Sad news. Godspeed.
Thanks for all you did RIP

What a shame.
One of my early heroes growing up.
Glad that he got to enjoy his 40 in his last years.
I'll wear my autographed T-shirt with pride.
RIP, Mr. Tom
First came across Tom's work in the late 50's and he has entertained me many times since as I'm sure thousands of others. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP Tom, you had a good run.
A real pioneer in the rod world. R I P
a sad day in the Hot Rod world
Damn That sux
Tom was the most unassuming truly great guy in the hot rod community and cared nothing about recognition for all that he either made happen or helped and/or inspired others to achieve in both the hot rod world and the magazine business.
Only met him once, but it has enriched my life ever since.
Wonderful man and a blessing to us all.
A sad, sad, day.
RIP. That bench racing session up in the sky is getting mighty big.
Yes, sad. He was getting around again, after the guys refurbished his 'Forty from the fire.
Really hoped I'd see him again. Here, I mean. Oh, no doubt we'll see him 'there'...
Just don't want to hurry things... Wait up, Tom!
You made me smile over the years!
