Ummm! Does anyone like this color?

 

i thought the same thing to myself a few days ago. very nice car but the yellow doesnt do it for me .

being you asked nope dont do much for me , but it only matters what you think ..

 

ill take it minus the scallops.. that being said i will never own a merc, so he can do wahtever he wants with his... LOTS worse has been done

The yellow doesn't do anything for me. But seeing all these Merc's lately has me itching to start on my 51 Merc.

Im not into yellow, but i kinda like it. Its not your common red, black or blue merc. Reminds me of a 70`s van paint.

 

I know the guy but if you read the article it says it was home built. He didnt build that car he bought it already yellow he just put the scallops on it. The guy that owns that car is a big asshole anyway.

 

I dont care at all for the paint, but another thing that gets me. On the rear shot in the magazine, the rear glass is installed with some rubber window channel that looks as if its about 2" thick. It just really didnt look right.

 

It should be a solid color,darker to show the lines othe car

 

the paint on the roof is whack.

 

yeah,that panel job and the roof looks kinda weird,,


i was just curious about how the article says its chopped 2 1/2 inches,,,,looks like it's actually more than that.

 

The Yellow might look better in person,
the roof colors and scallops would definitely look better on something else.

Something far away.

 

I wouldn't put too much faith in anything
printed in most of the big automotive magazines.

But you'll notice the names of the advertisers are spelled correctly.

I could see that being around 2.5" inches there, its a real mild chop. Maybe the guy figured why ruin that awful paint scheme with a cool chop?

 

mercs are my favorite all time cars,but this one doesn't do much for me...color sucks on a car like that.....I like imaginative paint schemes,but not this

i don't like the yellow, and im not sure i care for a flaked roof on this era merc.

 

i could live with the yellow, if you took all that shit off the roof.

 

That paintjob looks like something that came out of my grandaughters diaper.

 

take the "panel jam" off the roof and the orange rims! paint em black or sadly red it would look killer

 

I was thinking about that same car the other day, I could live with it being all yellow with the white scallops and I could live with the root beer color with the orange scallops but both combined just looks tacky, I was surprised when I read in info about the car and it won best paint.

I like it cuz its not Red, Blue or Flat black!!!!!!!!!

most mercs all kinda look the same...... nobody has the balls to make theirs look different..............

I DIG IT........ mostly because its not your typical merc

 

Didn't the article say that it won best paint award at one of the shows. I figured that it just doesn't photograph well but had the same thought as the rest when I read the mag.
