What the hell does this mean? I try and click in the box, but nothing happens. Does this have something to do with how to quote other people? I have been trying to figure how in the hell to do the - "originaly posted by" for 30 minutes now, and I give up. I need someone smarter than me.
If you hit the word "Quote" then you get a reply box like this one with the one person quoted in that exact post you wanted to quote. The "Multi-quote" tab allows you to quote more then one person/post in your reply. You hit "multi-quote" for every quote THEN hit the reply tab at teh bottom and all the multiquotes you wanted to quote will show up in your reply. IF you just hit the "Post Reply" tab on the bottom nothing will be quoted and you can just answer. Remember you can delete some of a quote if it does not pertain to your response.
I was talking about quotes in a message, but thanks to hotrodladycrusr I get that part now. The second part to the question was, what is the box below the reply box thats says; options quote message in reply? It wont do anything when I click on it.
That is a Quick reply box that just allows you to start typing a quick response right way and post without getting all the fancy stuff that a regular reply box gives you. saves one step. The place where you can check to add quote that you are referring to does not work for me either BUT I don't see how it can quote something if in fact you first don't chose a reply to quote. Confused yet. Follow what I've posted and you'll be just fine, that bottom box I really never, ever use. Anything else you need help with today while I'm paying attention?
When i do a multi quote do i have to hit multi quote and reply on each one? Or can i just press multi quote on the ones i want and reply on just one?
Anyone, anyone, i guess i'm an idiot. Can someone tell me how to multi quote, i have tried and can't seem to make it work.
If you want to reply to multiple posts, much like I have done here. You'll have to hit Mutli-Quote on each comment you want to respond to, and then on the last comment you want to respond on, just hit Quote. It'll then give you a reply box that is set up like this one, with multiple quotes in one response. Hope this makes sense, and helps.
