Today I received 4 English wheel lower anvils (3", 4", 6' and 8" radius) - $160.99 + shipping https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-4-piece-anvil-set-for-english-wheel.html Above picture as removed from the packing (I did remove the shipping grease). They were greased, wrapped, and individually boxed - ZERO shipping scars. The 2 anvils on the left had a bearing drift out of position during shipping. It took very little pressure to walk the bearings back into position (used a bench vice). And to answer the most obvious question, they are an exact fit in my Harbor Freight English wheel. Also the same 3" diameter. Very impressive runout numbers 3" radius Eastwood lower anvil less than 0.0015" 4" radius Eastwood lower anvil approximately 0.001 6" radius Eastwood lower anvil approximately 0.001 8" radius Eastwood lower anvil less than 0.001 More or less within my measurement error and dramatically better than the JEGS lower anvils that I reported on. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...wheels-and-use-on-a-hf-english-wheel.1142636/ I probably will not get to use these anvils for a few weeks - I am in a mad thrash to get something ready for the 1,100 mile drive to Lead Ain't Dead (Can't face the option of arriving in a Subaru).
Thanks for the info, your answer to the obvious question just saved me some leg work. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Thank you! I’ve been hoping something would come available soon! Edit. Just ordered a set. Thanks for the link.
