I recently started working on my 1950 chevy sedan, I am going with a traditional approach. I have dual exhaust headers and when I separated the intake and exhaust manifolds I found the hole in the bottom of the intake leading into the exhaust manifold. My question is; (keeping stock intake) can I just plate the bottom off, or do I need to feed exhaust heat into the intake? Thanks for your help?

  3. There is also a 216 social forum if you click the icon under my avatar it will take you there. You can pretty much get any of your questions answered there. And a bunch of ideas also.

In Montana I would say exhaust heat is an advantage.
