Question for those who've used lowering blocks on front suspension

    To those of you who've used lowering blocks on the front suspension of your shoebox fords, what size drill and or bit did you use to drill out the rivets holding the spring cup to the A-arm?

    Thinking of doing this, but need to plan ahead if LARGE drill is needed.

    i cant remember what size bit we used . but i recomend throwing away the bolts that come with the kit and getting grade 8 ....... it's holding the front end together .....

    you didn't have to use a big ol drill, just a common electric drill?

    I really don't want to have to get a drillpress or something serious like that.

    yeah an air chisle would work awesome ..... i think we had buddy with a drill press do it .....

    I chisled the old rivets off and pressed the rivets out. The rivets were 7/16" diameter, but I drilled & reamed the holes out to 1/2" and used 1/2-20 bolts, lockwashers & nuts - all grade 8.
