do these trucks have a solid firewall across the bottom or does the rear of the fenders where they meet the cab make up the ends of the firewall/ floor area looking at a commerical 1950 chevy cab trying to figure out wether it's rotted out or it's supposed to be that way because the holes appear to be the same size on each end approx 8" by 12-14" on each end thanks for the help!!
The fenders are independant of the floor. You have the firewall with an angled kick panel below that joints the firewall to the floor and then the floor panel. All three sections are full width of the cab with kick panels making up the side-vertical pieces. Here's a couple of links to new cab manufacturers. http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=...7+chevy+truck+caB&hl=en&sa=G&gbv=2&tbs=isch:1 http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=...7+chevy+truck+caB&hl=en&sa=G&gbv=2&tbs=isch:1
