I am in the process of swapping in a 235 with a dual carb set-up into my '50 Chevy. I am bending up all new hard fuel lines to clean up the appearance of the engine bay. I know that a rubber section of fuel line is recommended to absorb vibrations, but where is it recommended. Should it be between the frame and the fuel pump, or between the fuel pump and the first carb. I dont know if it matters in the answer, but the fuel line going from the fuel pump to the first carb will be supported via a clamp on the water neck. This will keep movement and vibration of this line to a minimum?
anywhere a section is going to be supported by the frame then the body or engine, just think of it this way.. the body flexes on the frame, the motor flexes on the chassis.
