queations swapping a 2 spd auto to a c4

Hi all, 63rat and I are working towards putting a 302 and c4 into a 63 meteor. I am not real familiar with fords, but am quickly learning!! Looking at the 2 trannies, there seems to be some differences in the shift linkage. has anyone worked through this? any ideas or help is appreciated.
also, we have an elelbrock 4 bbl carb and iintake for it. I would like to not use the goofy linkage set up from the 260. any ideas on this?

I used a Lokar shifter set up before but there might be better aftermarket alternatives.

 

There is a company called Flatomatic=flathead v8 and c4 trans.
They have a lever and the trans has to be taking apart to change it.The lever has to be 180 degs from where its now.
