I've got a 61 Olds I need to try and do a quartz conversion for. Guy on Ebay with all the kits only has them for Borg clocks, this one is a Hamilton Watch Co. He doesn't have a kit for it.
    Anyone know someone who does?

  2. I don't know if this is any help to you, but on my '49 Cadillac I used a quartz movement from the craft store for a conversion. It now runs on a AA battery, but it is accessible through the top of the glove compartment. It now keeps perfect time!

  3. Do you have any pictures of the craft store parts or what you did to convert?

Look at almost any clock in your house. That's similar to what the craft stores have. Cut down the hands and install.

This might be a long shot but Hamilton watch is still in business. It might be worth a call or email to see what they recommend. They might even be able to rebuild it. That said, if it's a points type movement you might have luck cleaning them up to get it running again.
