It's sad when folks post on any forum and get all pissy about the answers, then we have to explain to them how life works. love the stance of the car, maybe polish them wheels to go better with the power blue paint. GET SOME DAMNED FRONT BRAKES ALREADY!

If he kills someone because his car couldn't stop w/o front brakes, it'll be one step closer to all of us having to go through an annual State inspection for our "modified cars". All it will take is a congressman with an agenda...Rat Rods with shitty workmanship are bad enough press for car guys.

"Lucky", I dig your car and love 12 spokes. Just not sans brakes. It's a craftsmanship and safety thing. You wouldn't take the front brakes off your daily driver. Sure it "looks cool", but it's sort of like riding a motorcycle w/o a helmet; looks real cool, but not as safe as it could be...

Not sure that red wheels will go with your neat paint colour, BUT, if you really want to be like everyone else, PUT SOME FRONT BRAKES ON IT !

Don't your front brakes do something like 70% of your braking ?

  10. Brakes be damned, the wheels and car just don't match!

  11. Im sorry I don't feel the love for your 12 spokes and even less for you lack of front brakes. There is a very good reason why front brakes are bigger than the rears. Try clamping the wheel on a wheelbarrow and see how hard it is to push it compared to pulling it, this will demonstrate the weight transfer and braking percentages between the front and rear. I feel what this is a case just because you can doesn't mean you should !! JW

    just wrong

and those are the opinions offered by the guys sitting by me

    sorry.

I took two photos at the Road Rockets Rumble. One of your car and the roadster sitting next to you. Yours was my favorite car there. I really liked the black wheels with the blue paint. If you are looking for comments about the new fronts.....I like them also. I'm a Ford guy, my car isn't fast enough to comment on the importance of brakes!

  15. the car looks great
the wheels don't.. in my opinion
    but EVERYBODY needs brakes :D

Yes the guy posted pics of his ride, did he ask for opinions?? Maybe it is/was implied, never the less, is dog piling really necessary?

Several threads deleted or locked for trash talking or personal attacks in the last few days, come on guys we are better than that. Lets keep this place classy, a place where like minded members can discuss traditional hotrods and customs in cival/respectful manner.

what a fun thread this turned out to be!
I like brakes on all 4 corners
I don't like those wheels on anything but a drag car.
