Rattled Roosters... Canadian band... Can't believe you degenerates like that stuff over Shooter or Merle. What's this world coming to?
Me too! ... brings back childhood memories of watching Guasco's Pure Hell at The Fremont Drag Strip ... I think Dale Emery used to drive it back then. I guess that the car has a wierd effect on other HAMBers as well: image "borrowed" from KIRK!'s Blog (http://whatkirksaw.blogspot.com)
I've seen alot of kool films on TJJ. but this one, is in my opinion the best. Great footage Mazooma1, also enjoyed the soundtrack.
Great video...and it begs the question; " Whatever happened to ALL of that great vintage footage that ABC Wide World of Sports shot in the 1960's and '70s?!?! " If you look at many photos from the golden era national events, you will frequently see a broadcast camera crew alongside the track, sometimes with a second crew standing in the background...If this footage exists, why do we rarely see it? This applies to all forms of motorsports, you simply don't see the vintage footage. Does anyone know why? I have read a rumor or two that some former TV executive claimed rights to a lot of that footage and has consistently demanded an outrageous fee for broadcast rights, but beyond that rumor, I've heard very little as to why. Can anyone shed any light on this issue?
That's some really cool shit!!!!! Sometimes I really wish that I was born a little sooner.....and lived on the left coast so I could see that stuff in person!!!!!
Been there, seen it live. God it brings back great memories. If we all get in my time machine I'll show ya.
