i'm looking for the PROPER! fitting that screws into a 94/97..it's a 1/2 inch fine thread fitting..and i don't want some hi tech piece ,either.where the hell do you find one of those?i've went through all that i have.and it seems to be..every fitting is covered in tape ,and then it was threaded in..i guess that's great..if you like crap.

I use brake lines. The brake line nut fits perfect. I put a compression fitting on the line and the brake line nut compresses it. You can cut the line to an inch long and run a rubber hose on it or leave it long and hard line the whole thing. You can use the plated brake line or use copper tubing.

On a Holley 94, a male #5 AN fitting screws right in.

1/2"X20 is the thread type (sorta oddball for a fitting but thats what Ford wanted). Macs or Vintage speed has hose barbs if you use hose and other fittings for tubing . .....Bob
PS: Flathead fuel pumps also have this same thread.

I think you want a "Ford Nut." They have 'em at Napa, weatherhead 59X4 :)

Speedway sells 'em that take hose or AN lines.

In addition to the Weatherhead 59x4, here's the numbers I have from a post on Fordbarn supposedly from an OLD Weatherhead catalog (no guarantee these are still available):

    1588 (single) & 1587 (double) are banjos w/1583 bolts & 1591/1592 washers
    1567 (3/8) & 1560 (5/16) use the hose barbs

    Everco 8
    Edelman 108400

Have also heard of folks putting compression ferrules on tube & tightening down with original nut.
