Was picking up my ATV from the mechanic and passed these cars along the highway, near Longview Washington. Stopped and talked to the guy and everything is for sale. Phone number is on sign. Don't contact me as I have nothing to do with the cars. As I remember; 58 chevy 12,500 13,500 with 348 engine 38 chevy 12,500 Nova convertible 10,000 1 ton truck 1000 runs
That Impala looks to be in pretty good shape for a 58 sitting in a field in Longview. Most cars that sit out for a longtime there have a mossy side.
Hello, We have been coming down this portion south OC for many years, since high school. Some of our favorite surfboard manufacturers have their shaping/glassing rooms along the highway areas. It is close to the surf breaks, or on the way South to the pristine surf at the start of the Camp Pendleton borderline. It surprised us that an empty lot was created when some businesses closed down during the 2020 pandemic year. Then we saw what was behind the fence and the nearby roadway. (Several old truck bodies and other old stuff.) It has the modern security features and cameras everywhere. Technology in this day and age does have its rewards. Jnaki But, it isn’t just this area, in just about any area, during the pandemic has caused terrible effect on the local businesses. In several other OC cities and outlying areas, there were small businesses closed, but behind those wire fences, there were still some treasures just waiting their turn. So, it is not surprising to see some of the empty lots used for something other than a rock and gravel pit. Cement factories abound, so perhaps, empty lots to store crushed gravel for cement is a valuable commodity. Old mechanics shops, various stand alone stores and others have taken quite a beating, so they are all boarded up or just staying closed, hoping for a better climate everywhere. The truck bodies? We are sure they will one day be built into something pretty nice. It just takes time, money and enduring the pandemic spreading variants.
