since these pics were taken the top has been filled and the Frame has been painted and almost finished I have to run the Brake/Tranny lines and then the chassis is finished and the body work will start was going to paint it black with black wheels and a red/black interior but I'm looking at other colors now thinking about a diff color.
Real sweet ride. Workin' on my 31 Tudor. Love seeing other sedan projects.Looks great with the fenders. Mine's 2 tone grey originally. I'm keeping her that way for now.
i will get some new pics of it now it looks good with 18'' 32 wires and a 283 with 3 duces and a droped axel i droped
Looking good! I love the chop and stance. Do you know any history on the car? Just curious why it says "69¢" on the back panel. Any ideas on color? Gloss black is SOOO the new flat black...
and here I thought Metal flake is the new flat black, HAHA, I bought it off of Continital John here on the Hamb And he had had it for a long time, I believe it was on there before he bought it, Maybe he will post on here. I did find a 1957 Class ring from one of the Chicago schools in it as I was taking it apart.
Mens ring? did it smell like..... fish? I been lookin for that ring. oh that was weak... sorry. very nice project, looking forward to seeing more pics. Curious as to how you went about filling the roof.
i'd vote for black and black, with a white interior, but i don't think i'm registered in christian county. in cook county, though, i voted 4 times for blagojevich...
Mel ,she ("The ClassRing") looks great!!! I'm glad you got her, after 17 years and couldn't get myself to chop her you did it perfect!! As for color ,I say Aztec Gold just like the ring,
For the filled roof Plowboy and I hauled home a 59 lincoln from uncle scooby a few years ago and plowboy used the rear quarters to build a bed for a truck and the roof had not been used yet, So I took the sedan up to his house one afternoon and we cut it to fit the sedan and tack welded it on then I brought it back home to finish. It fit pretty good except its going to take a little work in the rear corners but I think after its hit with a shrinking disc it will be real close. As far as the coupe goes it is all apart in the corner of the garage. I kinda lost intrest in it and figure it will be there when I'm ready to start working on it again. but I think I'm going to build a Roadster after the sedan is done.
Thanks for leaving the fenders on. I've been bucking the tide for years trying to tell people that not every car needs to be a highboy. There is no crime in having fenders and this one proves it. Keep posting as it gets finished. I'm lovin' this one. Frank
I love that Lecarra wheel; that's got to be the best looking street rod steering wheel on the market.
