    Man your flying on this thing. Is this new speed track opening this year? Any details? I also have an essex coupe body 28 or 9. I thought of a radical chopped b-ville type build but never thought there would be a place in ohio to run. My body was toast hardly anything left but I never thought as radical as your build. I love it. If there is definately gonna be a track within my reach I might build it.

    i have two areas i have to beat around on eather side of the roof. i am hitting it hard today to get it ready to get it to are indoor car show the calilcade of customs. it is in two weeks.

    here are some updates. the chop is basicly done. i just finished making the frame. weel the outer frame. i will be making the sub rails and cutting the essex sub rail out . then i will set the body down on the chassis. i need to mount the front and rear axles. i hope to get this all done by tomorrow. i still have a shot at making the in door car show. i also started stripping the car down to metal. here are the pics

    day 5 and i got the front spring suicide mount made. the wishbones mounted and the front end in. i finished the subrails for the body. i hope to get the body mounted on the chassis monday or tuesday.

    day 6 . i got the body on the chassis and squared up , welded on the subrails. i started to place the international truck hood on and checking fit.

    i have been accused of not sleeping . my wife is out of town this week so i have been staying way late in the shop to get this essex knocked out.

    Drew, the 1/8" x 2" flat stock you used, does it run from the door jamb to the cowl?

    day 7. got it on its own weight rolling. welded the internaional hood on the cowl. also got the other hood welded on the bottom. the car will be at the car show . i got most everything i wanted done. anything else i get done will be a bonus.

    i also mocked up the size and shape of the windshield . i will be cutting some of the cowl out to make a bigger windshield
