Cool Thread, keep posting!
Jack was by today and brought by one of his concept drawings to show me. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing but I can't wait to see how it come along. He has some really cool ideas...
Very generous of you. Thanks so much
This is great!
Holy smokes! is that the direction he wants to go? Reason I ask is that we finished a 56 Pontaic Starchief awhile back and I have a complete set of stainless for it. I was thinking that the side trim would work beautifully on a shoebox with the spear running backward...
Great project for javier and jack. Please keep the updates coming.Looks like you are surrounded with a great bunch of guys.
Keep the youngsters involved !
WOW that's kinda spooky in a good way.....
This is just great! Hats off to all those who were/are so generous with their time and resources. I've said it more than once- the HAMB has renewed my faith in mankind.
Yeah!!...I think we're on to something good here.Spooky in a good way for sure Gregg
I'd be willing to bet that the hook is set for life. What an awesome thing to do for a kid (& his dad). You guys are awesome!!!
Jack may become THE shoebox guru someday. Maybe he can help me someday when/if I ever do a '49 coupe...
Side note: Is this one for sale?
These pictures tell it all Look at his smile..
The notchback? no, not yet...
I'm in VW rehab but I'd jump off the wagon in a hurry for a good notch.
Ill pass on the interst and let you know if/when it becomes available. It attracts a lot of attention...
Touching story!I can't wait for the build thread.
Javier, I hope its okay that I Photoshopped Jacks car, using his concept as a guideline. That young fella has a good eye for cars!
Very cool!Jack loves it.This is basically right on.We are also going to lower it 3 to 4 inches and put wide whites on it.He also found the color he likes on a Jadeite water pitcher at Greggs house.thanks a lot

this is some great stuff. what a great group of people
When I was in high school I wanted one of those...till I got a chance to drive one. Had to drive it about 40 miles. Those things are not an easy car to drive. The steering wheel is about the size of a 55 gallon drum, maybe bigger, seemed to get bigger the further I drove and felt a lot like one when I was driving the car. That thing kicked my butt and made me decide an old Ford was not the car for me. They sure don't make um like they used to...for dang good reason. Hope the kid REALLY likes it.
Love the concept drawing and the whole idea, you guys rule !!
