1958 Ariel Square Four Cherokee Red...I saw one years ago and wrote it down.
Couldn't find Ariel in the PPG color catalog...
An Ariel renovation web site listed (OK I'm from Sweden so don't tell anyone)
VOLVO 129 Cherokee Red as a substitute.

Hard to take pictures of colors but it looks like this...darker red

Nice color. It's very motivational to start making parts shiny....you know you're getting close.

DEE-lighted to read that you're going to use 18" widened rears, and 16" fronts...with appropriate tires.
BEE-wildered to the why of the race to see who can have the BIGGEST headlamps...
REE-energized to get back on my tub...3 'back-burner' T bodies on my frame jig now...
    Nice thread, inspired me.

Clean bearings / axles. New Studs - Mahalo Bondo!
Wrong way....took me a while to figure out why the flange was hitting the center of the bearing...
These axles (pre 62) use shims instead of the adjuster...
Anti seize !!! I thought these suckers was welded on...put tension on the puller & heated the flange...flew across the garage!
    Ready to bolt on!

This spring scares the crap out of me...
    Need to buy better clamps.

Used shims from a Wilwood brake kit when I welded the brackets to offset for the paint. Probably learned it here on the HAMB....worked perfect!

With the wheels on, I could feel a small clunk in one of the hubs...
    20160708_142346 (Small).jpg
Look at the Outer Bearing (bottom)... that could be the problem...?!
    Glad I found it!!!
(Got spindles hubs, brackets, brakes at the swapmeet for 100 bucks..)
New bearings and seals on the way!

Aero Clips with Cork inserts. Stainless spiral wrap like on ma mopars...
The Plastic clip isn't that fancy but it worked perfect to hold the residual valves...Maybe I'll paint 'em later

Not sure which wagon you mean?....

Friggen Henry stuffed these blocks made out of Palms or something inside the doors...had to cut the patient open to get them out...[IMG]

    It's almost spooky!

    Wagon?
Off topic but here I go...(please Ryan don't delete my post)

Oh That P.O.S....(I do like the Hemi though...!)
That's my "Mercedes Pick Up Truck" (2005 Dodge Magnum R/T)...
I've hauled Lumber and STUFF on the roof! Engine Blocks, Rear Axles etc. in the back...
My buddies say "if you didn't have that P.O.S. your Hot Rods would be done by now"...(On Topic lesson)
    I've fixed:
    - Transmission
    - Front Hubs
    - A/C Evaporator *
    - Heater Core *
    * = Had to remove Steering column (Engine Mounts), Dash Board, Console, Front Seats.
    - A/C Compressor, Drier
    - A/C Condenser (Twice)
    - Radiator
    - Rebuilt Cylinder Heads (Got a little hot one time - Valve Seats fell out!) **
** = To get them out without dropping the engine / front K member is really F#@*%$($)**!!
Had to make four (4) special tools to get to some of the bolts.
    - Front "Bumper"
    - Radiator Cooling Fans
    - Rear Drive Coupler (3 times!!! Don't by cheap crap from NAPA!)
    - A bunch of Sensors O2, Cam, Crank, Temps...(steering wheel computer)
+ Starter, Couple of alternators, water pump, a bunch of other things that I can't / don't wanna remember...
    Other than that it's great...

1468472783762.jpg Did some welding on the sub frame today. Still lots of finish work to do. Just don't want it to rust two minutes after I put it on my fresh chassis...
