Finaly got the rear-end mounted. The hardest part was working out where to put the spring brackets so to keep the shackles at 45 degress at ride height. After a lot of head stratching and drinking tea. Then i got the call saying my wheels had arrived arrived. Still lots to do before deadline day in May. Including rebuilding the flatty. Still not sure if the engine is to high (crank pulley is 3.5 feet of the deck. Should be fun to drive on the road anyway.
You bringing that to the HAMB drags in August, 2005? Don't think I've ever seen a '32 gasser....nice work! R-

[ QUOTE ] Love it, great work! Are those the new Radir 12 spokes? Would love to see a profile shot of it. [/ QUOTE ]Yes they are the new Radir wheels i'am well impressed with them. I will try to get a side shot over the next week. It will take me that long to move all the stuff out the way. Glad you all like.
I think you are GAY!! Have you moved yet......we might be down your way in the next week or so. Are you at Bristol for new years piss up?
Very much loved. Just for your info. Pete and Jakes and also Speedway tell you the exact measurements to place your rear spring mounts. I just measured off my old rearend. Great progress. I am just wondering how many hole saws you have burned up on that frame?
Nice work, well thought out frame. It's got 'the look'. Any pics of the rear axle install looking forward on the frame?
I am not sure if they did. Anyone have a photo. Went throw about 6 hole-saws so far, still got to drill the outside rails yet and maybe the top and bottom of some of the crossmembers but cant decide yet which ones.
There's no such thing as a roadster gasser. Roadster classes were: Roadster A/R B/R etc. Modified Roadster A/MR B/MR etc. Street Roadster A/SR B/SR stc. Gassers were coupes and sedans only. A/G B/G etc. These were the classes in the heyday. Mutt
Holey shit, that's killer cool. Awesome workmanship too. Keep us updated. With those menacing looks dontcha think something a little more evil than a flatty would be more appropriate?
Geez, I'm thinking blown Chrysler, but then the rear cheater's don't go with that. You'd be mixing era's and styles and mechanicals. Just build it like you want, it's looking really good now! I dig it.
The flatty will be pushing out about 400 horse's. With hilborn injection sitting on a blower and straight thru headers should look pretty menacing especially on the road.(I hope).
All of the superlatives, adjectives etc have been used up, nothing left so guess all I can say is I really like it.
