As a spectator? Probably the year I have it on the road.

As a racecar? Who knows. Things change, life is short. I just want it on the road right now. But it will get there eventually.

Kevin, Thanks for the report. I was wondering if there was any recent progress. It's going in the right direction. Good call on the rear of the top, gives it just the right contour.

Kevin, that change in the rear of the roof really makes a differance. I like it. looks killer. Does the top of the door match the tack strip line? better than in the pictures? Or do you have plans for that? ModelA's seem like the line for the tackstrip goes up-hill where the door goes straight. Just wondering.I think that you should drag it to the Hamb-BQ next month. that would be cool.

    looking good.

Me and my buddies have always noticed early and late 32-five window coupes where the back is more vertical on the early and leaned forward on the late, mine we gathered is a late because it seems to be leaned forward more than other buddies cars. the lates always seem to look better.

  10. Looks great!

Is there a hood in the plans for this car?

I might take grief for this but what about ditching the exposed door hinges, handles, etc.?

The Chrisman car is one of my favorite hot-rods... so I enjoy all of your updates.

    Yep...I'm happy with that....so far

BTW I like the anus on the cowl. You need the odd barb here and there. Oh, and the mock up of your wipers is working too.

    Awesome build Kev! Loving it!!!

Titus...is that for real? I had no idea!
Sure explains the "look" some fiver's have compared to others.
I wonder does it have more to do with being an original rumble seat car or not though....
The rumbles have a different size rear window which would could explain having a different shape to the panel.
    Different tooling/different shape.

    All very interesting....

Thanks. Started with a '32 wishbone. Split it and spliced in the ends of some mid-forties radius rods to lengthen. They continue the taper perfectly. Rod ends are rebuilt Model A welded directly to the wishbone and blended in. I think it will look cool with a 45deg. grease zerk poking out of the top. This type of setup seems to have been used just as much as "normal" rod ends - have seen it several times in the little pages and Bass is doing something similar on his roadster.

Also drilled them with graduated holes. Real ones. Sleeved holes are for kooks.

    Looking great

The curved glass edges on both sides of the A pillar put a hundred miles an hour on it sitting still

That's the round-round-roundiest (curvaceous) model A I ever did see. Looks great! Love the rails too. Good YOB!

ok I had to look twice at the rod ends...

-at first I didn't make out what you did... but thats a GREAT idea visually- you just have to set the fore and aft position of the balls connected to the frame since there is no adjustment I'm assuming?

    thats pretty rad...

I couldn't have said it better. So much work with zero pay-off. They'd be better off leaving 'em alone. I really like the ends you used too, classy touch.

    Lookin' tuff!!!

I believe so, but we could be wrong, we had about 7 32 five windows at a buddies house, all backed in next to each other, and we could go down the line and say, "early, late, late early" etc etc.

Kevin, i love the use of model A ball ends on wishbones, ive done it a few times on cars but you dont see it very often anymore.

You sir, kick ass. Every time I feel I need more wiggle room in my two car garage, I will think of you and remember not only how amazing the work was that you pulled off in that space, but that you still sacrificed valuable space to hang some cool decorations. Weld on.
