Technical Problem with Lincoln gears

Hello everybodys , 3 years ago I have put for a friend some Lincoln gears in a 39 transmission on his 36 coupe . He don't drive a lot with his car and now the gears are broken . I would like to buy some but my dealer say there is not any Lincoln gears for the moment because there is a lot of problem with .
I would like to know what is the realy probem and where can I buy some

You might also ask Mac what you get with the Lincoln gears other than bragging rights? Maybe Ford gears would be as good (or better).
