My friend's From Albuquerque, New Mexico, 1959 Pro Street, 350 Cu. In., Weiand Tunnel Ram w/2-4 650 cfm, barrel Holleys (soon to be installed), 400 Trannie, Weld Wheels, 15-29x18.5 Rubbers Rear, Pizza Cutters up front. Suicide Doors, Custom Hand Crafted Dash/Gauges, Tilt Bed, BADDASS !!

Am I the ONLY one that thinks the dash guage cluster is absolutely USELESS there??!?! WTF was he thinking? OK, let's make this look cool, nevermind that I'll need to avert my eyes from the road every time i want to see how fast I'm going.... What, is he going to make it a CENTERDRIVE truck...relocate the steering column right up the intakes ass? Whatever..ruined a perfectly good cab... cary on...

 

...note to self...discontinue plans to pro-street new truck...

Boooooooooooo hissssssssssssss welcome to the hamb. Your friend has alot of work to do, seems that he must be saving it from someone who tried to pro street it.

 

It's a hard sell here for this truck because it's not built in the "style" that most here are in to..that dosn't mean to some it isn't cool or he dosn't have a ton of work in it.

I like 59 Apache's....if it didnt' have HUGE tires out back and a dump truck bed i would dig it..and even overlook the cyclops dash cluster...

Yuck! Sorry man. I've got a 58, which, in my mind, is the exact opposite of that thing.

 

This got me thinking (dangerous, yes);
Isn't pro-street sort of like saying professional amateur?
If you're going to build a hot rod, build a good hot rod.
If you want to build a real race car, making it streetable is not the way to do it.
racing street cars is hot rod.
driving a wantabe half-ass race car on the street is lame - rust or no rust.

 

Pro street is a dying trend................................................thank god
