I just shot the '61 project with Omni 282 high build primer-surfacer.
The Omni dry sands as a very light powder just like K36. How well do these and similar product SlickSand WET SAND?. The talc like dust is a pain.

    Any recc's...

    thanks

This product wet sands very well. It still makes a mess, that just part of the fun.

It is usually not advisable to wetsand Slicksand, but I do think the newest version does say it can be wetsanded. It is polyester based (basically like a very thin finish putty)and is porous like any other body filler and will absorb water. For this reason I would only dry sand Slicksand and then topcoat with a traditional 2k primer-surfacer that can be wetsanded. I wouldn't recommend final sanding with anything finer than 500 or 600 if your spraying a metallic. Too fine and you will not have enough "tooth" for proper adhesion between the primer and basecoat or sealer.
