Awesome build and for an awesome reason. I'm just gonna say I'm stealing every idea you've posted. Not even ashamed to say it.

All I can say is wow and double wow. I have known justabeater37 (Doug) for quite a few years now. He has always been kind, helpful and gracious. For him to take on a project of this magnitude, for a charity cause, while letting his own personal projects sit by the wayside, is beyond words. The amount of his time, not to mention the amount of his own money that he has spent, is going way beyond what the average person would ever do. And he is doing it all to help families with kids with congenital heart defects. I am proud to know Doug and I salute you my friend.

I know I saw it in there, but where did you get your door hinges?

Super nice job Doug! Hopefully I can see it in person sometime before the giveaway.

It’s now titled as a 1925 street rod roadster with state applied VIN, title and license plates are in my truck, now I have to work, then apply for insurance tonight. Now to work out all the bugs like burning the paint off the hood sides. Time for a plan B FC7F9A01-EFB7-4D4A-B2CE-69CF883180C7.jpeg on those.

Door hinges are T touring rear doors.

Did the cops chase you home since you were driving without plates? ;)

  13. You have built a bad ass T roadster from scratch! Your talent and your spirit are amazing. Congrats to you! Few would take on this journey and even fewer have your skill.

I now have plates and a title. Just waiting on insurance. Working on the interior and realizing how much I hated sewing...

That is my wife's car. She actually got pulled over because the little town she works in was wondering why the police were there every day. I need to get it resprayed in all white again.

Not quite finished, but with the push to make it to Speedway Motors in Lincoln Nebraska for cars and coffee on Saturday, Ron Day and Steve Day came down and helped a little getting the interior done. A big thanks to Ron for stitching up my seat back even though you didn’t plan on doing any sewing tonight. I also learned a few things to help getting the rest done easier.

Are you driving it all the way to Lincoln? That will be a heck of a 1st shake down run! I guess you'll get to know how well it handles when running next to an 18-wheeler on I-80.

Trailer. Hope to get some miles on it this week so we can run it to Altoona next Sunday.

Whats going on in Altoona? Are you talking Sunday in 3 days or Aug 5th?

The 5th. If it’s like every other year, the Rolling Bones circus should be at Motel 6. I suppose I better check their itinerary for sure though.

The old $25 Singer works fairly well other than the stitch length not wanting to stay set. Now that Ron showed me the errors in my ways I will redo the seat bottom.

Then home to fix some things that popped up while shaking it down around Lincoln. Have to love new car bugs. Figured I may as well plant the seed in a few youngsters while I was here too.

Put 50 miles on it tonight. It drives, rides and handles awesome. Steady as a rock even at 80 on the interstate. Had a fuel delivery issue which I tracked to a loose fitting. Unfortunately when I tightened it the pick up tube twisted off. Hope to track down a replacement tomorrow and just swap it out and fix this one later. I think I have figured out how to solve the paint baking on the hood sides and just need to get them reworked and repainted. Finish up the last 3 panels of the interior and go have fun with it for a while.
