Okay, how about a little bit of humor mixed in. I got this one a few years back. The funny part is that the guy who made this was a school teacher.............and didn't notice the error til the crowd broke up with laughter.

Heres some from the Open Wheel Gang picnic near Batavia NY a couple weeks ago.I have received a bunch of these over the last few years and they are as much fun to make as get.Most of us hotrod guys up in my neck of the woods are really into this brand of "doorprize"
We are gonna have a trophy fabrication day or two at the Old Soul Speed shop when the cold weather hits.

OT, but I just sent these off to Utah for the Utah High School Cycling League. All bicycle parts.

Once I have more car parts I'll start doing more car show trophies.

There are a lot of very cool ideas in this thread! It amazes me the number of hours that go into some of these. I know on our own trophy builds, we have joked that the "Best of Show" trophy is valued at several thousand dollars based on 50 hrs or so and shop labor!

I am also amazed that some of these can be picked up by one person (maybe they can't!)

 

Here is one of three that I built for the 1st Annual Motor Mania. I just have to ad the engraved plates. Stay tuned for the pix of the 2013 GNRS Suede Place trophy. This thing is going to be the best one yet.
