Would like to see pictures of how the brake the light switch is mounted and how the brake pedal actuates the switch. My master cylinder / pedal assembly is under the floor.

Don't have a picture, but I mounted the switch to the underside of the floor so that when the pedal is up it pushes the switch arm up against the bottom of the floor and turns the brake light off. When you push down on the pedal the spring loaded switch arm moves down and turns the brake light on. Hope this makes sense. Brian

  5. Just a typical GM switch from the 60's or early 70's...mounts to floor bottom ahead of the brake arm on the short side of the lever(master not pedal). Button depressed...OFF...button out...ON

Thanks guys. I was thinking of using one of those lever actuating switches. I belive they are more weather proof for use under the floor board. I think they come in right or left also.

Here you go, I made a small bracket that the switch screws to and then clamped it to the steering column. I can adjust the switch just by unclamping and moving the bracket back and forth. The bolt sticking out of the brake lever is actually 1/2 out giving the switch arm a place to slide on.

Was looking at mine today also. Going to use Nissan pickup switch. Similiar to the GM version but metal and poraclien, who would think it wasn't plastic. Pics tomorrow....if I remember.
