The weather was perfect this year. Picked up a 36 banjo wheel , some nice 32 gauges , and a bunch of o/t stuff

Did PIR Thursday and the Expo on Friday. Very summer like weather, which was nice. Picked up the 39 Banjo wheel and the SW gauges at PIR. Got the 32 sheel at the Expo, it's missing the bottom, but I have a bottom i've been waititing to find a shell for. The top radiator trim had paint, which came off easily and it is shiny chrome underneath although several cracks. 20160401_184254.jpg l

Great pics, Harv. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't get to see much since I was manning the booth, but I did get to put about 20 miles on my bike.

Had someone ask if I was enjoying the weather- I told them I brought two days worth of rain but some Californians bought it all on the first day.

  14. I loaded up the truck again this year with some good stuff.
I found some of what I was hunting for and some surprises.
It was a great time. 20160404_175218.jpg

This Nail head powered survivor bucket was cool. Lots of projects for sale, if you couldn't find something you were interested in, then you aren't into cars. :)

There were some great, low-priced project cars that just didn't sell. All of these pics are from Sunday:

Rot-free Studabaker PU, with clear title; by Sunday it could have been had for $1,000 (I seriously debated loading this onto my trailer, even though I need another project like I need a hole in my head):

Corvair Spyder, straight and no rust--the latter a shock in Corvair world--$2,400 OBO:

By Sunday, the Barracuda in the background (borderline OT) was down to $1,200; just a 6 cylinder, but super straight (smelled pretty funky inside, however):

No project cars for me, however. In the end, I had to satisfy myself with a humble Model A cowl. How could I say no at $50, delivered to my stall via shopping cart? Seller made vroom vroom sounds at no extra charge.

I love the Portland Swap Meet.

There was a original green '51 chevy coupe about 100 yards up the track from us. Guy had $2,950 on the sign. It was complete and all the trim was in good shape. I wish I had snapped a pic.
