Poor Man's CNC - Heck Trace-A-Punch Nibbler

Discussion in '"The Antiquated" Classifieds' started by halibrandsteve, Dec 22, 2016.

  1. City: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

    State: International (Australia, Canada, etc...)
    Price: $1100 USD
This is the easiest, most economical way to produce low-production, single-plane metal shapes (can be bent to shape after cutting for more complex items). The Heck Trace-A-Punch follows a guided template to produce burr-free straight and contoured outlines and holes. Simple and rugged, heavy cast construction ensures very little maintenance.

An existing part can be used as a master pattern or one can easily be made by hand by drawing on or tracing over acetate or plastic from .020"-1/2″ thick with a sharp scriber or razor knife. You can even create a pattern from your printer or photocopier - simply copy onto Mylar-plastic and cut with scissors.

This is the Model 4 which is capable of nibbling up to 3/16" in mild steel (1/8" in stainless or other exotics) - great for making everything from lighter sheetmetal panels to heavier chassis brackets.

Powered by a 3 hp, 3 phase, 230 volt (9.6 amp) Baldor motor. This one was originally hard wired so has no plug. Has one cutter (punch and die) included.

NEW PRICE - $1100 USD plus shipping. It's heavy, at 480 lbs uncrated, so pick up or truck freight would be necessary.
