plug gap

Anyone know the spark plug gap for a 1981 ford 302 with carb. Found some specs set the gap in the .050" range but that seems to be a bit much. thanks

 

with good ign and a carb run it lean and open the gap to fire all the molecules and thats the road to mileage
factory did it too to get better mileage, wont work with injection
spent a lot on school to learn this
and get a 2 gas analyzer and set low HC and co get those readings low and that will improve mileage too
