I have been using an ancient Accel dual point distributor in my old LS6 BBC. The engine has a set of Winters (snowflake) alloy heads and I'm guessing the CR is around 10.5 :1?

I have recently upgraded the ignition to an MSD distributor and a 6AL ignition amplifier. I am presently using AC R43XLS spark plugs that had been gapped at .032 when I was using the Accel distributor.

What should I now set the gap at with the MSD components?

    Thanks in advance...ZAPPER

you could probably run it out to .045 with the MSD. I still run the old Mallory dual point on my "L88" which is a 8.5:1 motor with 2nd design L88 aluminum heads, and the fun of a 6-71 on top. I'm running stock .035" gap in the R43XLS plugs. Ran 10.08 at 130 Sunday before last at the Meltdowns.
