please tell me what my car is ? have you ever seen one?

i had this a few years ago, an guy built it in the 50s for him and his wife, the drove it everywere.

 

A small block would be fine with early dress up items to stay true to the era in which the car was built. I dont believe he meant to tuck the tires in as in a pro street style, just a little narrower so they dont hang out of the wheel wells.

 

Kinda reminds me of a car my dad used to have in england called a Morgan.
