Hard to date exactly. They do appear to be Ansen's. Ansen is alive an well in Torrance, CA. They still make these, and have made these for a long time. They could be new, or go back all of Ansen's over 40 years of business. Either way, they look cool.
I never have seen any with cast in marks. I always thought that they were generic. They made them for just about every engine with that tell tale rectangle in the fins. I have a pair for the FE engine. They were the cheap ones. I have seen some with thin aluminum name plates glued into the rectangle. I took that to mean that a company with enough cash could have some made on a much smaller run with their name plate glued in. I found the thin plate that came with mine (I took mine out immediately)...Mr. Gasket Co. screen painted like a dash plaque. Not exactly a high end piece.
tommy's right, I've seen that same style valve cover with "MOTION", "A F/X". "PRO STOCK", and a few other logos in the center.
