Please help me ID these valve covers

    I bought these off ebay a year or two ago. Does anyone know the maufacturer or time period?

    Hard to date exactly. They do appear to be Ansen's. Ansen is alive an well in Torrance, CA. They still make these, and have made these for a long time. They could be new, or go back all of Ansen's over 40 years of business.

    Either way, they look cool.

    I never have seen any with cast in marks. I always thought that they were generic. They made them for just about every engine with that tell tale rectangle in the fins. I have a pair for the FE engine. They were the cheap ones. I have seen some with thin aluminum name plates glued into the rectangle. I took that to mean that a company with enough cash could have some made on a much smaller run with their name plate glued in.

    I found the thin plate that came with mine (I took mine out immediately)...Mr. Gasket Co. screen painted like a dash plaque. Not exactly a high end piece.:D

    I argued with a buddy who told me they were made by Moon. I needed to set him straight.

    tommy's right, I've seen that same style valve cover with "MOTION", "A F/X". "PRO STOCK", and a few other logos in the center.
