1) What kind of car is this? I've never seen trim like that on any car, so it's either a low-volume/rare option of common make or something out of this world. 2) Anyone know the owner or know of any more photos? Thanks in advance!
Looks like it has had some serious but nicely done mods. I dunno what it started life as, but it's awesome. What a rocket ship!!
58 Oldsmobile, think there was a thread about it a few years back. Some other photos I probably got from that thread.
They say the 58 Olds had the most weight in chrome and stainless of any car built until then. Bet you could build a smart car with just the trim from a 58 olds.
As you can see, the trim is not "one-off" or custom - it's all 1958 Oldsmobile 98. One of the custom touches is the 1958 Buick grille, a very popular custom change on many cars.
