Technical Playing with a banjo

  1. Can I put a 3.25 model A ratio in a 34 banjo?

    No, model A gear sets are different. I dont know if they make a 3.25 set for late 32-34 rears. 35 and up sets can be made to work with machining.
     
  3. thanks. I woder why that it the bajois the same except for the length of the axels.i bet its the length of the pinon i think where the drive line bolts up it differant for model b
     
  4. its the diameter of the banjo too
    model a's are 10 bolts and model b's are 11 (or it could be 11-12)

    Model A and early 32 rearends had a smaller ring and pinion gear, used same bearings and axle diameter but most parts won't interchange.
