Some images from the Pittsburgh WOW from Saturday night. Enjoy I loved the sign board the Drifters had. Very original... Loved this truck... This 57' was built in 65' and has stayed that way.. Seriously badass 64 427 Custom. 13K miles and owned since 70' for 750 bucks...
Liked the Mummy's Chariot... but... was that a real model or are we being punked? For some reason I can't remember that kit. Clue me in, please. Gary
The crowds were large and it was hard to get good pictures. Here are a few more...BKH Mild custom 56' Ford Same owner of the 64 'Custom brought his 64' 500 427 too...BKH
The model paintings aren't real models. One of the guys in our club is a artist and he painted those. The green and rust model A pick up is mine and I also had 64 ford custom there also. Not the 64 for in the above pic.
It was a good show.Yeah, crowded, but not too bad.$14 seemed a bit spendy, but for what was on display it was well worth the money. Saw a bunch of great cars, spent time with fun people and met some of the Drifters-good people! Those club display paintings were awesome! We'll hear more from this guy I'm sure? Talent like that doesn't stay hidden for long.
That 57 looks the one owned by Larry Long of Uniontown Pa. Previously had no front bumper. Painted in 1964 and cost 16k to build then. Paint and interior was done by Bill Lippay who went on to restore many of Mr. Gaskets 57's.
Hey c10addict,Sweet truck! The only thing wrong with it is that I don't own it! Haa haa It'd be great to see how you set it on the floor?
Thanks Bro... It has a "Porterbuilt dropmember" up front.. Basically its a raised crossmember with a mustang II rack and tubular control arms... Fabbed up custom inner fenders and used hood hinges from a 57 chevy truck.. Out back its just notched and bagged still running the stock trailing arms.. Its a small block with a 700R4.. It blows down the road 80 mph like nobodys business.. I drive it everyday except when theres heavy salt on the roads..
