i have a f100 steering box ..no pitman arm.it is going in a 34 ford truck.will the arm and the bolt hit the fender ? does the arm and bolt rise above the frame rail and hit ? stock 34 frame.stock location..if not i am looking for the arm and bolt...thanks sawbuck
I'm not really understanding the question! Do you know the year of the F100 steering box? (Some people confuse the F1 and the F100) Was it from a truck with an I-beam axle??? (Twin I Beam is different steering) Are you thinking that the Pitman arm goes up??? (It doesn't...) Are you wondering if it fits the original 34 arm? (F100 won't but F1 will...I think! LoL) Pics always help...
it is an f 100 box 55 56 ....i want to know if the arm and cinch bolt will rub the bottom of the fender..thanks
If you are mounting the box in the original location on the frame it should clear the fender....If you are putting it in a different loctation you will have to mock it up and bolt a fender on and see....
This is an F1 in a 34 P/U. I know it's not the same but you can get an idea that there is plenty of room.
thanks tommy..i dont have the f 100 pitman arm yet ..but it looks bigger and bulky..like the cinch bolt might hit the fender ...
The F100 pinch bolt does not stick up that much. You will need 1 3/4" from the center of the sector shaft to the top of the arm for fender clearance. They have been doing this for over 50 years.
