Many thanks to the Chups for yet again putting on one of the best shows in Texas! Had a great time.

I would like to publicly apologize for my amazing display of stupidity as we were leaving the show grounds....sorry guys, I was not thinking.

Can't wait for next year!!



I couldn't stay away from this car all day. I remember seeing this car as a kid, 15 years ago, at the Dallas Autorama. It was gorgeous....set up with the angel hair and everything. I think I've even got one of those horribly shot off-center pictures I took of this thing back then too. The car has seen better days, but I'm very glad to see it has resurfaced!!

If anyone knows who this guy is, let me know. I think he was interested in buying my car so I'd like to see if he wants to make an offer. After all, why else would he be kicking the tires, unless of course he's a completely disrespectful fuck head?

Excellent Show & Excellent Pics! I'm envious....you Texans are still enjoying perfect weather. Its already cold and gray where I live. I was just in my garage and saw a drip of anti-freeze under my "T". I think it was shedding a tear 'cause rodding season is over too soon here in Ohio. Thanks for sharing your sunshine.

Hey Fidg funny story about that guy I walked over about one minute after this picture was taken, and said hey is one of you guys fidgiter? The all looked at me like I was stupid. Then I said hey are you guys from Them? Again a stupid look so I said well since you dont own this do you mind moving so I can take a picture of it lol. You would have thought I slapped them by the looks on there faces. Again sorry I didnt meet you again, and is it o.k when I get my pictures finished to post a link and a couple samples on your thread? Car looks great with the two tone man

Kudos to the Chupacabras for the best show in Texas. What I like about this show are the variety of great cars that I have never seen before. Thank you to 'Them' of Dallas & 'Yay-Hoos' of Austin for the club pick awards, what a surpise! I got there late because I was still painting the hood cowl at 3:00 am, my wife was helping me with installing the glass at noon, I am glad I made the show!
I am not a trophy whore by any means, but I love the awards from this show because it is really Automotive Art!
BTW, Who ever owns the Pearl white El Camino has my vote, very understated and subtle. What a beautiful ride!

 

In Tennessee you can't have a show without a 36" tall Model A sedan in attendance. It's a law.

Yea that elcamino is tits it belongs to a really nice young lady who I hope calls me when they finish up the bed for me to take pictures of it.....absolutely stunning

 

Someone showed me a pic of that El Camino, I didn't realize it was there. Must have gotten in a little bit later. A girl out of Austin owns it I believe. You're right Chris it is a beautiful car. But so is yours! And nearly everything else you own....you've got an excellent sense of style my friend.

Did any one get the name of the current owner of the 55 that was on the cover of Cars Mag? I saw it years ago at the Dallas Autorama as well..trying to remember the guys name that owned it then...

Danny, after I got home, I was just off the Swisher exit and I heard this rumble comin off of 35 and saw your little Anglia hauling ass with a group of other hot rods, what a great sight and sound! It was bitchin. Really put a smile on my face.
