Pistons for a 331 Hemi

    Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy pistons for an early Hemi?? I talked to the machine shop this morning and will need to supply them with Pistons.. I have a 1951 - 331 Hemi...

    Depends on what you want. stock cast pistons are 8.5 CR & there's a place in Jax that has stuff on EBay. Kanters. Ross & Venolia for forged. Check Hot Heads.

    Egge has some good prices on hemi parts.
     
  4. If you don't mind used pistons and over boring I have some 354 pistons I'd let you have for the shipping cost.

    Sent you a pm... Forgot to ask..will my 331 rods work with 354 pistons? Is it a matter of putting new rings?

    I have a set of 354s if any one needs them. Also how bout some tips from some of u who have worked with the 331s? For instance, will 354 pistons work in a 331 for sure? Also, how do we get 10:1 c.r. In that 331? What's the best cam that's street able? Give us some good tips u guys,, share your knowledge with us

    Put Hemi tech index in search! 331s can usually be bored to 354 std., but you should do a sonic check. Higher that 8.5 you need to order custom forged pistons, or find an old set of Jahn's on EBay.
