I took a picture of these Cragars I pinstriped this week, posted it on Facebook and Instagram and got an huge response. I guess people do have good taste! :) So I thought I'd share something cool here on the HAMB for those who don't use those other two time wasters. This set of wheels are for a customer of mine who's gonna run them on an older Ford truck. Happy Friday!!

Looks way better than any color wheel left plain. Nice to see something different done to steel wheels.

I was skeptical when I read the title of the tread... but you pulled it off. Good job!

Excellent - did you clear coat them to help protect from road dirt, etc. ?

Cool wheels. I know they had to take some time to strip

I have always considered pinstripping to be artwork.

Most strippers do cars and bikes and things like that but there are a few guys who do not strip cars and bikes at all and have moved into the world of art with their creations.

Guys like David Hightower have pinstripped panels than are sold to collectors and art galleries and his panels have sold for thousands of dollars and are highly collectable.

It's interesting that some people simply see pinstripping and others see a work of art.

There are a number of pinstrippers who work primary on low rider cars whose work I have see and their work is really art work at it's finest.

More and more I see pinstrippers painting lines on things like laptop computers, bowling pins, tool boxes and even cell phone cases.

This form of artwork as been around for years but now is expanding to other surfaces other then cars and bikes.

Your work is outstanding and keep stripping outside the box.

  19. I love the wheels so don't take this the wrong way, cragar has those wheels with pin stripes on them in some of their advertisements or at least did when they first released them, and if I remember correctly there's a lengthy thread with a ton of members bashing these wheels because they are very similar to the GM wheels with the "wire basket" covers.

Like most everyone else , I was expecting to see Cragar SS wheels with some lines on 'em - I was suprised by what I saw when I open up the thread . Nice stripework , very clean . A good way to dress up an otherwise boring wheel .
