Guy named Cully Milage (sp?) does striping, I think he might be a member of the Jalopy Kings if you know any of those guys.
BTW, my pal Morgan goes back there to see family (Yankton area I think) and will be at the Mitchell thing. He is a great striper. He doesn't work at shows tho.........hates an audience.
Also, click on my signature, thats the car from the 1970 season I am looking for. Pictures or the whole damn car! Last seen in Spencer Iowa in 1977
I'm bouncing back and forth until my house sell by Denton I never ever thought it would take this long to sell it ? Been doing that since Feb
Do you know or heard of Gary Geveshausen ? He has a large collection of that era of Oldsmobiles, he might know where it is ? Really nice guy
(605) 763-2383
That number is off a google search so, it may or may not be accurate
Thats cool to know, where is he located? Getting dads car back has always been a dream. That F85 is prob one of the rarest out there based on spec. Dad got to order it under a full sponsorship from Dr Olds. The term stripper would be a fully optioned car compared to this one! AND it set and NHRA record that season
There's a guy in Sheldon that I've heard does a great job. I'll try and remember his name and post it here for ya.
Dennis slaymaker--spencer, iowa. Worth the trip just to see his shop--google: Old iron, spencer iowa and look at the pictures.
and you never make it to Spencer, IA, do ya? theres a guy on Benson Road near Macs that does it... Autographics 807 East Benson Road Sioux Falls, SD 57104 (605) 338-1303 www.autographicssignworks.com
Big Dad, you should definitely get to know the Slaymaker brothers, Denny and Jack, if you are back in South Dakota now. They have been hot rodders since the 60's and Dennis has been striping since he was a kid. Like Tom said, seeing Dennis and Jacks collection is well worth the 100 mile drive. Send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with Dennis. By the way, Kully Millage got his first striping lessons from Denny and has a lot of talent (but he is back racing pro flat track bikes again right now). He has a Deuce Tudor sedan that I sold a few years back to him and his dad, Keith. Keith is an old drag racer of hemi Plymouths from Thunder Valley years ago and owns several Deuces, Corvettes and a Nomad now. You might remember him from back then.
