New car will be a gasser - full fender, unchopped stock body, blown 406 chev., raised all around, slicks sticking out.
Mutt, it's not like I don't like the T and the shop, but man am I diggin' on the Fury! I would LOVE to have that thing setting in my stall!!!
Sam - The quickest the roadster ran was 10.96, but I had to dial it back because of the rollbar. It's pretty consistant at 11.20/118 now, and the block is basically a stock factory 400 with dished pistons. I just added 2-4's and a 224/234 .465/.488 cam, roller rockers. Rear is '57 Chev w/4.11 posi. B&M 350. Very streetable except on the freeway The Plymouth has 2.93 gears and ran 15.50 @ 93mph. It needs gears bad, but I'm going to sell it. Terry - 5G and you can drive it home to Texas I even have the dealer installed air, and the orig. 361 goes with it. It's a 44k car w/new paint about 4yrs ago.
I had an "old ugly" '63 Dodge 330 that I wanted to do what you did to your '64... something to mess around with the ricers with! The roadster sounds like a blast! 10's are fun. Welcome again! Sam.
[ QUOTE ] Garage I built for winter work on cars. [/ QUOTE ] Winter work?? Youre in FLORIDA!! Nice looking cars!!
I remeber seeing your roadster in Indy a few years back and took a few pics. It was one of favorites on the pit side of the track. I was in your area last week, wish I was back there now. It's cold here.
Murdock - the land of the "Q-Tips" - That's what it looks like when you're behind an old lady with big hair - is right down the road from Hot Rod Walt in North Port, halfway between Sarasota and Ft. Myers and 46.7 miles from Bradenton drag strip. I used to winter over in south Texas (Padre Island area) but the constant 30mph wind from the East ain't fun in a roadster. California and Arizona were too expensive. My brother built his house, and I bought two lots behind his for the garage. For 5 years I did everything in the trailer, but it's getting harder to lay on the floor and be able to get up . Billy Hullit up in Ocala is a friend of mine (Yellow 5-window he's had since the 50's.) that I met at a race in Columbus Ohio. I get up there now and then. Here's the interior..

hey mutt...are you from cincy..i am orginally ...well dayton/cincinnati...whats that deal with the acme garage...you snow birdin" in fla?nice stuff.
Yeah, Kartbreaker, born and raised there. I'm a retired Cincy Cop. When I decided to race semi-seriously again, I needed a name for the car, and bought a shirt at a Warner bros. store in Dallas - Acme Garage. It's generic and old timey, and not flashy - like me (And people seem to remember it.) That explains the lettering on the deck lid too... 48 Hemi - Actually that blower is a small bore - there's a big bore just out of sight in that picture, that I'm going to use on the 32. I may put that street blower on the roadster for ocassional jaunts around here when I get the deuce done. Dan
