Have any of you been surfing the net and come across pictures of your car or cars youve owned? Happened to me today. Here they are http://hoosieroldwheels.com/1d6df670.jpg http://hoosieroldwheels.com/1d9db060.jpg
Found pictures of my Impala before I bought it from an ad placed a couple of years before on a website I'd never heard of while searching for photos of done-up cars (Woo! Talk about a run-on sentence!). Does that count? Unfortunately she's a lot rustier now, but she looks a hell of a lot better under the hood! Still workin' on the rest of her...
I built this car in 79/80 from leftover parts. sold it in 1985. It was changed a lot since then. Was 327/4sp Mopar discs on the orig axle, Mopar 8.75 Posi. P/S P/B....and chromed steelies front, chrome reverse on back. Geez, all the entire rechroming on the whole car cost only $800 back then. Now it is all street rodded ...IFS, auto, Wires, and etc
Twice that I know off. First was I brought a 1930 studebaker at a farm auction. That night i was just surfing the net looking at other 1930 studebakers and found mine on a studebaker site. It was taken earlier in the day at that auction. A person that owned 3 other studes posted it showing what he was hoping to bring home that day but didn't get it. The second time, I was surfing and searching the great circus parade in Milwaukee because I heard that my 1909 model T used to be the lead car for a few years before I became the owner. Sure enough found it but I had a good idea it was posted on the net before searching. I also found a picture of the model t at Iola, Wisconsin in a display that i wasn't aware of. The car on display was a 1910 cadillac and they had a picture of it. The picture happened to be of the Circus parade in Milwaukee again with the 1910 cadillac with my model t right in front of it.
Never sound a pic of MY car on the net but I did find a pic with my now X on it from the nationals Tulsa 73 that we attended.
A blogger for the Boston Globe (newspaper) had a few pics of mine up. A photographer on here had a few on his site. And some guy named "Richie" here on the HAMB had a few up on his blog.
yeah I was bored one day and started looking for ideas for my car. Did a google image search for a car like mine and found a few pics of what my car looked like before it was ruined by the person I bought it from.
My old late model caprice is on Wheel Vintiques site. http://www.wheelvintiques.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/0091.jpg
