Thanks Go-rilla, that's my Boy Garett, he turned 3 in September. It does the same to me . Nobucks, I really like your car, cragars really do work on just about anything.
i met a falla in davenport, iowa, about 10-15 years ago at the mississippi valley fairgrounds when the antique sprinters and midgets used to race there once a year. he was driving a 23-25 t with a turtle deck; gray primer; red ram hemi; 3 or 4 speed manual. he took me for a ride in it. i thought then, and still think, it's one of the coolest cars i've ever seen. (b-t-w; his was a street car, not a race car) anyone know who it was? is he a hamber? can you find a pic of the car? i've prolly got a pic in one of the old photo albums at home, but even if i did i don't have any way to scan it for you.
TIKI & Gang- Sorry, no pics to contribute - but since we're on the subject, does anyone have a clue why they're called "turtle decks"?? I don't see any obvious connection between these early days auto "trunks", and ol' brother terrapin. Just wondering.
