I was going thru the local flea market yesterday and found this set of 7 B&W from filming 'Thunder Road'. Here's a few pictures of the pictures. They all have notes at the bottom and the photograpers batch numbers.
    I just couldn't believe my luck. DSC00078.JPG DSC00079.JPG DSC00080.JPG

Some of this movie was filmed near Asheville, NC - close to my home town. Cult classic movie in Western North Carolina.

  7. Great find oj! I must have seen the movie a dozen times. Growing up in E. Tennessee it was often paired with Thunder in Carolina w/ Rory Calhoun at the drive-ins.

I read an article in one of my dad's Motor Trend magazines about the movie when it first came out....

I finally saw the movie about 50 years later on TCM.

    Long wait...but I wasn't disappointed.

That's cool as hell. Robert Mitchum made badass look easy.

  11. A real original, Robert Mitchum. Just the way he walked said, you do not want to mess with me! The movie is a great classic. Congrats on scoring the photos, a real cool thing to own.
